The course is a joint initiative of the Inter-American Center for Social Security Studies (CIESS) and PAHO/WHO and its main objectives are to analyze the capacity of the current regulatory frameworks for the extension of social protection in health; investigate the mechanisms to improve the effectiveness of the regulation in a complex scenario of multiple actors, interests, and levels; and develop parameters to guide future regulatory processes as part of intersectoral and interinstitutional actions. a
