Bolivia (National Health Policy – January 2003)

cov_pltk_health_bolivia.jpgThe New National Health Policy is a result of previous experiences in the country. The new policy abandons bureaucratic and expensive theoretical research on reform and confronts the difficult social and economic challenges of the country in order to defend public health and improve health services.

The National Health Policy responds to the major public health needs of the country, simultaneously focusing efforts on the areas of public health and health care services while giving priority to health promotion and disease prevention.
