The National Health Policy of Costa Rica includes in detail the health sector commitments of the 2002-2006 administration. Along with 189 countries, Costa Rica has committed to the "Millennium Development Goals”, which bring human development objectives to a global level and provide a frame of reference for the Government Plan, National Development Plan, and National Health Policies.
