Health System Profile of Anguilla

AnguilaThe Government of Anguilla (GoA) has embarked on an ambitious health sector reform that included the establishment of the Health Authority of Anguilla (HAA) in

January 2004 and the implementation of a National Health Fund (NHF) in January 2008. While the HAA was entrusted with the delivery of health services the Ministry of Health became responsible for providing policy direction, strategic planning and regulatory/licensing functions. In recent years the country has been reorganizing the health system to focus on prevention, earlier diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
